Iain Gardiner

Iain Gardiner is a distinguished Australian actor whose impressive career spans over four decades in film, television, and theatre. His journey in the performing arts began in the late 1970s when he honed his craft at Queensland University of Technology, studying under Zygmunt Molik from the Grotowski Theatre Lab, focusing on Stanislavski techniques and impulse work. Gardiner furthered his training at the East 15 Acting School in London, where he mastered the Alexander Technique and voice.

Upon returning to Australia in 1981, Gardiner's early career was marked by a significant role where he doubled for acclaimed actress Judy Davis in the film "Heatwave." He gained invaluable experience working on various ABC dramas alongside seasoned actors like Ed Deveraux and Henri Szeps. His television credits include notable series such as "Patrol Boat," "A Country Practice," "Bellamy," "Rafferty's Rules," and "E Street," showcasing his versatility and talent.

In addition to his television work, Gardiner has made substantial contributions to both experimental and mainstream theatre, as well as film and music video productions. He was a key member of the Macau Collective, which independently created the feature film "Resistance," released in 1990.
