Helen Lynch

Helen Lynch (April 6, 1900 – March 2, 1965) was a prominent American actress of the silent film era, hailing from Billings, Montana, where she was also raised. Her journey into the world of cinema began after she won a local beauty contest, which opened doors for her in Hollywood. Lynch made her film debut as an extra in 1918, quickly gaining recognition for her talent.

In 1923, she was celebrated as one of the thirteen WAMPAS Baby Stars, a distinction that marked her as a rising talent in the industry. Throughout the 1920s, Lynch appeared in numerous films, primarily in comedic roles that showcased her charm and wit. Though her appearances became less frequent in the 1930s, she continued to contribute to the film landscape with a few notable roles during that decade. Her final screen appearance came in 1940 with the film *Women Without Names*, allowing her to leave a lasting impression on audiences.

In her personal life, Lynch was married to actor Carroll Nye. She lived until 1965, passing away in Miami Beach, Florida. Helen Lynch's contributions to early cinema and her memorable performances in the silent film era remain a significant part of Hollywood's history.
