Danny Woodburn
Danny Woodburn is an accomplished performer known for his diverse work across stage, film, television, and comedy venues.
Hailing from the Philadelphia area, he grew up as the son of a nurse and a professional golfer. Woodburn graduated from Temple University’s School of Film and Theater, where he was later honored with the Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award in 2001.
Woodburn gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Mickey Abbott on NBC's iconic sitcom Seinfeld, which aired from 1989 to 1998. Debuting in 1994, his character emerged as a memorable and endearing friend to Kramer, showcasing a nuanced depiction that defied common stereotypes. This role significantly boosted his acting career and earned him respect within the entertainment industry.
Beyond his acting achievements, Woodburn is a passionate advocate for the rights and representation of Little People. He has been vocal about the negative portrayals and discrimination faced by individuals with disabilities in media. As a member of the Performers With Disabilities Committee of the Screen Actors Guild, he actively promotes awareness and understanding of these issues. He has participated in various fundraising events, including initiatives for the Little People’s Research Fund and Cincinnati's Inclusion Network, further demonstrating his commitment to advocacy and social change.
