Andrew Neil
Andrew Ferguson Neil, born on May 21, 1949, is a prominent Scottish journalist and broadcaster known for his incisive political commentary. Currently, he serves as a presenter for the BBC, where he hosts live political shows such as The Daily Politics and This Week, along with the talk show Straight Talk with Andrew Neil, and is involved in producing various documentaries.
Neil's career in journalism took off at The Sunday Times, where he held the position of editor for an impressive 11 years, establishing a reputation for his editorial prowess. In 1995, he ascended to the role of editor-in-chief for Press Holdings, overseeing a group of newspapers that included The Business and, from 2005 onward, The Spectator. His leadership role evolved further when he was appointed chairman of The Spectator in July 2008.
