Duke Worne

Howard "Duke" Worne, born on December 14, 1888, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was a prominent American filmmaker and actor during the silent film era. Throughout his career, which spanned from 1914 to 1931, Worne directed over 70 films, showcasing his talent behind the camera. In addition to his directing prowess, he also took on acting roles in 27 films from 1914 to 1928, further establishing his presence in the industry.

Worne's life took a significant turn in 1930 when he married Virginia Brown Faire, a fellow silent film actress. Their union lasted until his untimely passing on October 13, 1933, in Los Angeles, California.
