Han Suk-kyu (한석규) is a prominent South Korean actor born on November 3, 1964, in Seoul. He rose to fame in the 1990s, becoming one of the most celebrated figures in Korean cinema with notable films such as "Green Fish" (1997), "No. 3" (1997), "Christmas in August" (1998), and the monumental hit "Shiri" (1999).

However, his career faced challenges in the 2000s due to an injury that led to a hiatus, resulting in a decline in his film appearances. During this time, films like "The Scarlet Letter" (2004) and "The President's Last Bang" (2005) sparked controversy due to their political themes and the tragic suicide of a co-star.
