Ann Turkel

Ann Kathryn Turkel, born on July 16, 1946, in New York City, is a distinguished American actress and model known for her captivating performances and striking beauty. Turkel honed her craft at the Musical Theatre Academy, paving the way for a successful career in the entertainment industry.

In the early 1970s, she gained recognition as a model, gracing the pages of American Vogue. Notably, renowned photographer Patrick Lichfield featured her in his 1981 book, "The Most Beautiful Women," with stunning images taken in picturesque locations such as England, the Bahamas, and Sardinia.

Turkel made her mark in film and television, with significant roles in the 1974 cult classic "99 and 44/100% Dead" and the 1976 disaster film "The Cassandra Crossing," both of which starred her then-husband, Richard Harris. Although their marriage ended in divorce in 1982, the two maintained a close friendship, and Turkel described Harris as both a mentor and a dear friend. She was deeply affected by his passing in 2002.
