Mark Duplass
Mark David Duplass, born on December 7, 1976, is a versatile American filmmaker, actor, writer, and musician. Alongside his brother, Jay Duplass, he co-founded Duplass Brothers Productions in 1996. This creative partnership has resulted in several critically acclaimed films, including *The Puffy Chair* (2005), *Baghead* (2008), *Cyrus* (2010), *Jeff, Who Lives at Home* (2011), and *The Do-Deca-Pentathlon* (2012).
Duplass gained further recognition for co-writing and starring in the psychological horror films *Creep* (2014) and its sequel, *Creep 2* (2017), as well as the upcoming television spin-off *The Creep Tapes* (2024). He also co-wrote and co-produced the anthology series *Room 104*, which aired from 2017 to 2020. His extensive acting repertoire features notable roles in *Humpday* (2009), *The League* (2009–2015), and *Greenberg* (2010), among others, showcasing his range in both comedy and drama.
Duplass’s portrayal of Charlie "Chip" Black in *The Morning Show* (2019–present) has earned him two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Additionally, he was the lead vocalist for the indie rock band Volcano, I'm Still Excited!!
