Cynthia Khan
Cynthia Khan, originally known as Yeung, began her artistic journey with a focus on Chinese and jazz dance from a young age. By the age of 17, she gained significant recognition after winning a national talent contest organized by Taiwanese television. This victory opened doors for her, leading to several television appearances and a small role in the 1985 film "Taipei Story," directed by acclaimed filmmaker Yang De-Chang.
In 1987, she signed with the Hong Kong film studio D & B, stepping in for Malaysian action star Yang Zi Qiong. This marked the start of her prolific career, during which she starred in over 20 martial arts films. By 1994, Khan diversified her portfolio by branching into television, participating in more than ten TV productions within just five years.
Her screen name, Cynthia Khan, was a clever fusion of the names of two famous Hong Kong actresses, Cynthia Rothrock and Michelle Khan, both of whom she succeeded in the "In the Line of Duty" film series. With her dynamic talent and dedication, Cynthia Khan has made a lasting impact on the martial arts film industry, solidifying her status as a prominent figure in action cinema.
