Atossa Leoni

Atossa Leoni is an accomplished actress known for her work across film, television, and theater on an international scale. Born in Berlin, Germany, to Iranian parents, Atossa's upbringing spanned several countries in Europe, and she received her education in the United States. Fluent in five languages, she currently calls Los Angeles home.

Leoni made a significant mark in her American film debut by portraying Soraya in the adaptation of Khaled Hosseini's acclaimed novel, The Kite Runner. Directed by Marc Forster, this film quickly gained popularity, remaining on The New York Times best-seller list for an impressive 124 weeks and garnering critical acclaim, establishing itself as a strong contender during awards season.

Further showcasing her talent, Atossa starred in the notable film America So Beautiful, alongside Academy Award nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo. This powerful narrative, set against the backdrop of the 1979 Iran hostage crisis, earned recognition at the Marrakech International Film Festival in 2002 and competed in the Panorama Section at the Berlin Film Festival that same year.

In addition to her on-screen performances, Leoni has lent her voice to the audiobook versions of best-selling works, including A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini and Greg Mortenson's Three Cups of Tea, further solidifying her diverse contributions to the arts.
