Peter Kwong

Peter Kwong (April 9, 1952 — May 27, 2025) was a distinguished actor renowned for his work in film, television, and theater. He gained notable recognition for his portrayals of Rain in the cult classic *Big Trouble in Little China* and Tommy Tong in Eddie Murphy's *The Golden Child*, both released in 1986.

Kwong's acting journey began in the mid-1970s with guest appearances on popular television shows, including *Wonder Woman* and *Black Sheep Squadron*. Throughout the 1980s, he expanded his repertoire with roles in series such as *Cagney & Lacey*, *Miami Vice*, *Dynasty*, and *The A-Team*, showcasing his versatility across various genres. His filmography also includes titles like *The Presidio*, *Gleaming the Cube*, and *Cooties*, alongside numerous guest roles in acclaimed series like *General Hospital* and *JAG*.

A dedicated martial artist trained in Northern Shaolin kung fu and various weaponry, Kwong also showcased his dancing talents, blending styles from ballroom to breakdancing.
