Elena Topalidou
Elena Topalidou, a prominent figure in the Greek performing arts, hails from Athens. She honed her skills in dance at the State School of Orchestral Art and pursued piano studies at the National Conservatory of Athens. From 1993 to 2005, Topalidou was an integral member of the OKTANA dance theater, actively participating in all its productions. Her artistic journey includes collaborations with esteemed figures such as Dimitris Papaioannou and the Ground Team, as well as notable institutions like the National Theatre, the State Theater of Northern Greece, and the Rootless Root group.
In addition to her dance career, Topalidou has made her mark as an actress, contributing to various esteemed productions under the direction of acclaimed directors, including Michael Marmarinou, Nikos Karathanos, and Lydias Koniordou, among others. Her film career encompasses both short and feature-length projects in the Greek cinema landscape.
Topalidou's talent and dedication have been recognized with several prestigious awards; in 1999, she earned the Best Female Performance award for her role in "The Lady with the Camellias," choreographed by Kostantinos Rigos. Her accolades continued with the Best Female Performance award for the short film "Bella" in 2020 and the Iris Award for Best Female Performance for "Magnetic Fields" in 2022. Since 2011, she has been imparting her expertise in classical ballet as a teacher at the National Opera School.
