Anita Petry

Anita Petry was born into a vibrant, artistic family of five siblings, growing up in Brazil amidst a lively environment of parties, soirées, and gatherings with creative minds. Her mother, Laura Cavalheiro, transitioned from a legal career to become a prominent cultural producer, grant writer, and an influential figure in the theater community. Her father, Andre Petry, is a well-respected journalist and columnist known for his wit and humor.

Anita's journey into the performing arts began at the tender age of 12 when she first took to the stage as a modern dancer. It wasn’t long before she discovered her true passion for theater, which led her to immerse herself in acting workshops and classes from the age of 14, effectively prioritizing her artistic pursuits throughout her high school years.

Her college education, which spanned both Brazil and the United States, allowed her to gain professional experience in theater and television. During this time, she developed a keen interest in diverse performance styles, including dance-theater, the theater of the absurd, clowning, and aerial acrobatics.

Beyond her artistic endeavors, Anita cherishes her life with her husband from Dublin, and has a passion for foreign languages, anthropology, yoga, cooking, and a deep appreciation for music and poetry. Her multifaceted interests and experiences continue to shape her dynamic career in the arts.
