Luigi Vannucchi (November 25, 1930 – August 30, 1978) was a distinguished Italian actor celebrated for his work in film, theater, and television.

Hailing from Caltanissetta, Vannucchi completed his studies at the prestigious Silvio d'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1952. Shortly thereafter, he joined the theatrical ensemble led by Vittorio Gassman, where he honed his craft. In 1958, he became a member of Giorgio Strehler's renowned troupe, further cementing his reputation as a talented stage performer.

His television career took off in the early 1960s, where he gained recognition for portraying complex characters, often with a darker edge, in popular series such as "A come Andromeda" and "I promessi sposi." Vannucchi's film work, while not as extensive, features significant roles in acclaimed productions. He appeared in Mikhail Kalatozov's "The Red Tent," Joseph Losey's "The Assassination of Trotsky," and Roberto Rossellini's "Anno uno," where he portrayed the influential figure Alcide De Gasperi.
