Angelika Levi is a Berlin-based filmmaker and video artist renowned for her innovative approach to storytelling through diverse media, including film, video, audio, photography, and text. A graduate of the German Film and Television Academy (dffb), she has made a significant impact on the international film scene since 1985, showcasing her work at numerous film festivals, exhibitions, and cinematic events around the globe.

Levi gained early recognition with her short film "Faust auf Auge" (1988), which earned the No Budget Video Prize in Hamburg. Her 1994 work, "Desiree & Polylepis," received commendation from the German Film Classification Board in Wiesbaden for its high quality. The filmmaker's first feature-length documentary, "My Life Part 2," premiered at the Forum of the International Berlin Film Festival in 2003 and garnered multiple awards, highlighting her skillful narrative style.

In 2012, Levi's "Children of Srikandi" debuted at the Panorama section of the International Berlin Film Festival and also received several accolades. Her most recent project, "Miete Essen Seele Auf," was featured in the exhibition “Wohnungsfrage” at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin from October 23 to December 14, 2015. Beyond her own filmmaking, Angelika Levi contributes as a script and dramatic advisor, lecturer, and film editor, with her works distributed by Arsenal Distribution – Institut for Film and Video Art.
