Bruce Penhall
Bruce Lee Penhall, born on May 10, 1957, in Balboa, California, is a retired American motorcycle speedway racer who also made a name for himself in film and television. Penhall achieved remarkable success as a speedway rider, clinching the title of World Speedway Champion in both 1981 and 1982. During his illustrious career, he was a prominent member of the Cradley Heath Heathens team in the United Kingdom, contributing significantly to their accomplishments.
Penhall’s career in speedway racing was notably brief, yet impactful, as he competed in a total of seven World Finals across various speedway events. He represented the United States in prestigious competitions such as the World Pairs Championship and the World Team Cup. In addition to his two individual championship titles, he also secured victories in the 1981 World Pairs and the 1982 World Team Cup, bringing his total to four world titles.
