David Franck Charvet, born on May 15, 1972, in Lyon, France, is a multifaceted talent known for his work as a singer, actor, model, and television personality. Raised in a Jewish family, he is the son of Christiane Charvet Haddad and Paul Guez, the founder of the iconic Sasson jeans brand of the 1980s. Charvet's journey to the United States began in the early 1990s when he won a green card through the Morrison visa lottery.

He gained prominence in 1992 with his role as Matt Brody on the hit series Baywatch, where he starred for three seasons until 1995. Additionally, he played Craig Field on Melrose Place from 1996 to 1998. During this period, Charvet also appeared in various projects, including Seduced and Betrayed and Derby, before shifting his focus to music in 1999.

Charvet returned to the screen in 2006 with the film Prisoners of the Sun, completing it in 2013. He starred in the 2008 sports comedy-drama Green Flash and participated in reality shows like ABC's The Superstars and France's La Ferme Célébrités, finishing as a runner-up in both.

As a musician, Charvet signed with Universal Music Group France and released three pop rock albums, including his self-titled debut in 1997.
