Sochi Fried
Sochi Fried spent her formative years in New York City and Ottawa before establishing her roots in Toronto, where she has lived for over 15 years. With a dynamic career in the performing arts, she has made her mark in theatres across North America and was recognized as one of NOW Magazine’s Top 10 Theatre Artists in 2015.
Her recent theatrical endeavors include notable productions such as The Great Shadow at 4th Line Theatre, Consumption Patterns showcased at the Next Stage Festival, The Life & Death of Fred Herko presented by Rendezvous With Madness, and Rosalynde (or As You Like It) with Driftwood Theatre.
In addition to her stage work, Sochi has an impressive resume in television and film. She has appeared in popular series such as “Transplant,” “Star Trek: Discovery,” “American Gods,” and “The Hot Zone.” She also played a role in Guest of Honour, a film directed by Atom Egoyan. Beyond acting, Sochi lent her voice to the narration of A Student of Weather, a novel by Elizabeth Hay, published by Penguin Random House Canada. Her multifaceted talents and contributions to the arts continue to make a significant impact in the industry.
