Krystyna Stypułkowska

Krystyna Stypułkowska-Smith (18 August 1938 – 20 October 2020) was a Polish actress and translator celebrated for her versatility across stage and screen. Born in Warsaw, she studied acting at the prestigious Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Arts, graduating in 1961.

Her career highlights include memorable performances in acclaimed Polish films such as *Ręce do góry* (1967) and *Jak daleko stąd, jak blisko* (1972), where her nuanced portrayals earned critical praise. Stypułkowska also left a lasting mark on television, appearing in popular series like *Czterdziestolatek* and *Alternatywy 4*, showcasing her comedic timing and dramatic depth.
