Philippe Garrel

Philippe Garrel, born on April 6, 1948, in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, is a distinguished filmmaker known for his contributions to the French New Wave cinema. The son of actor Maurice Garrel, Philippe was immersed in the arts from a young age. He found inspiration in the innovative works of cinematic pioneers like Jean-Luc Godard and François Truffaut, leading him to create his first film, *Les Enfants désaccordés*, at just 16 years old in 1964.
