Dia Taylor
Dia Taylor is a talented independent filmmaker and videographer who has carved out her niche in the film industry since 2007. In 2017, she launched her own event videography venture, Taymaynari Productions, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and passion for visual storytelling. Dia's journey into filmmaking began with a brief stint at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and was further solidified through her education, earning a Certificate III in Digital Media from The Gordon Institute of TAFE and a Bachelor’s degree in Film Production from SAE Institute.
At just twenty years old, Dia made a significant mark with her directorial debut, 'Marital Problems,' which garnered the award for Best Original Comedy at the 2017 Melbourne Underground Film Festival. Her body of work is impressive, with films like 'Soy,' which received a special mention at the One Reeler Film Competition in 2016, and 'Dark Night of the Zomboogies,' featured in the official selection for the Warrandyte Film Feast in 2017. Additionally, her film 'I Have Gustave' was showcased at the Cardiff International Film Festival in 2017 and was a semi-finalist at the Indie Best Films Festival in 2018. Another of her notable works, 'Blue,' was selected for the 2018 Cefalu Film Festival. Currently based in Melbourne, Dia Taylor continues to bring her creative visions to life, contributing significantly to the film landscape in Australia.
