François-Xavier Demaison
François-Xavier Demaison, born on September 22, 1973, in Asnières-sur-Seine, is a renowned French actor and humorist. Growing up in a family of lawyers, he initially pursued a degree in theater before shifting his focus to economics. He graduated from Sciences Po in Paris in 1998 and started his professional journey as an auditor. He later joined Landwell & Associés, a law firm affiliated with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), specializing in international taxation.
In August 2001, Demaison was assigned to an internship at the New York office. However, his life took a dramatic turn on September 11, 2001, when he witnessed the harrowing attacks on the World Trade Center from his office. This life-altering experience prompted him to reassess his career ambitions, leading him back to his passion for theater.
Determined to follow his dream, he reconnected with former theater instructors who assisted him in crafting his own show, Act Two. He invested his savings of 5,000 euros into the project, and the production premiered at the Théâtre du Gymnase Marie Bell in Paris on December 2, 2002. Since then, Demaison has carved out a successful career in the entertainment industry, blending his unique comedic style with his dramatic talents.
