Simon Licht, born on July 8, 1966, in Hückeswagen, Germany, grew up in Hannover and honed his craft at the Konservatorium Wien, where he trained from 1988 to 1991. An accomplished actor, Licht is widely recognized for his extensive work in crime dramas, contributing to numerous series such as “SOKO Köln,” where he portrayed Dr. Marco Taleb from 2003 to 2025, and other iterations of the “SOKO” franchise, including “SOKO Leipzig,” “SOKO Stuttgart,” and more. His versatility has also led him to roles in “Polizeiruf 110,” “Tatort,” “Alarm für Cobra 11” (2000–2013), and “Wilsberg,” among others.

Licht's career features notable performances, including his portrayal of Hans-Jürgen Wehmeyer in the popular comedy “Stromberg” during its third and fourth seasons (2000–2008) and his role as Horst Mahler in the acclaimed film “Der Baader Meinhof Komplex” (2008). He has also collaborated with renowned director Oskar Roehler in “Elementarteilchen” (2006) and “Lulu und Jimi” (2009). Additionally, he appeared as Peter Weller in the soap opera “Rote Rosen” over more than 30 episodes in 2009.
