David Michael Bautista Jr., born on January 18, 1969, is an acclaimed American actor and former professional wrestler. A standout figure in the wrestling world, Bautista gained widespread recognition during his time in WWE, where he competed from 2002 to 2019.

He launched his wrestling career in 1999 and joined WWE (then WWF) in 2000. Rising to prominence as Batista, he was a key member of the Evolution faction from 2002 to 2010. Throughout his career, Bautista secured numerous titles, including two WWE Championships and four World Heavyweight Championships, with his first reign being a record-setting 282 days. He also captured the World Tag Team Championship three times—twice with Ric Flair and once with John Cena—and won the WWE Tag Team Championship once alongside Rey Mysterio. Additionally, he triumphed in the Royal Rumble matches in 2005 and 2014, headlining WrestleMania 21 and WrestleMania XXX, the latter of which ranks among the highest-grossing pay-per-view events in wrestling history. Bautista officially retired from wrestling after participating in WrestleMania 35 in 2019.

Transitioning to acting, Bautista is widely recognized for his role as Drax in the Marvel Cinematic Universe from 2014 to 2023, and as Rabban in the 2021 film Dune and its upcoming sequel. His filmography also includes notable titles such as Spectre (2015), Blade Runner 2049 (2017), and Army of the Dead (2021).
