Vincent Belorgey, born on July 31, 1975, is a French artist widely recognized by his stage name, Kavinsky. A multifaceted talent, he excels as a musician, producer, DJ, and actor. Kavinsky's musical style captures the essence of 1980s electropop film soundtracks, heavily influenced by the myriad of movies he enjoyed during his youth, which he blends into a cohesive artistic vision. His work draws comparisons to other notable French house musicians, including Danger and the iconic duo Daft Punk. His rise to prominence was notably propelled by the hit track "Nightcall," featured in the 2011 film Drive, leading to wider recognition.

Kavinsky's foray into music began in 2005, inspired by friends Jackson Fourgeaud and Quentin Dupieux, who later incorporated his music into the film Steak. His debut single, "Testarossa Autodrive," reflects his admiration for the Ferrari Testarossa, a car he drives in real life. This track caught the attention of a record label, culminating in a signing with Record Makers.

Kavinsky has since released three EPs: Teddy Boy (2006), 1986 (2007), and Nightcall (2010). He toured with luminaries such as Daft Punk and Justice in 2007. His music has also found its way into popular video games like Grand Theft Auto IV. After a hiatus, he made a comeback in November 2021 with the single "Renegade," leading to his second studio album, Reborn. The character Kavinsky embodies a fictional narrative where, after a fatal crash in 1986, he returns as a zombie in 2006 to create music, a unique story that adds depth to his artistic persona.
