Elizabeth Banks, born on February 10, 1974, is a multifaceted American actress, producer, and director. She gained widespread recognition for her roles as Effie Trinket in the acclaimed Hunger Games series (2012–2015) and as Gail Abernathy-McKadden in the Pitch Perfect franchise (2012–2017). In a remarkable career milestone, Banks made her directorial debut with Pitch Perfect 2 in 2015, which achieved a remarkable $69 million in its opening weekend, setting a new record for first-time directors.

Continuing her successful trajectory, she directed, wrote, produced, and starred in the 2019 reboot of Charlie's Angels, showcasing her versatility in the industry.
