Alison Bagnall
Alison Bagnall is a talented American director, writer, and producer known for her distinctive storytelling and cinematic vision. She began her career by creating several acclaimed short films, such as "One Night Stand," which featured Franco Citti, a prominent actor known for his work with Pasolini. This film was showcased at the Florence International Festival of Independent Cinema. Her short "Love Perfect" also gained recognition, screening at various festivals, including those in Bellaria and Torino, Italy, as well as Annecy, France, and was subsequently acquired for broadcast by Italian television.
A Yale University alumna, Bagnall majored in Humanities, focusing on theater and directing. After completing her studies, she became a directing fellow at the American Film Institute, where she produced three short films and directed an episode of "Femmes" for the French channel M6.
In 1998, Bagnall gained wider recognition for her collaboration with Vincent Gallo on the film "Buffalo '66." Following this success, she partnered with actress and writer Savannah Haske to create "Piggie" (2003), filmed in Delaware County, New York.
Bagnall continued to make her mark in the film industry with her 2011 feature "The Dish & the Spoon," which starred Greta Gerwig, and her 2015 project "Funny Bunny," further solidifying her reputation as a creative force in independent cinema.
