Omar Al-Hariri
Omar Al-Hariri, an esteemed Egyptian actor, was born in 1926 and began his artistic journey in cinema as a child. His debut occurred in the 1937 film "Salama in Khair." Following his early foray into acting, he graduated from the Higher Institute for the Art of Arab Acting in 1947. Al-Hariri then joined the esteemed Youssef Wahbi Theater, where he showcased his talent in the 1948 production of "Jealousy." His career flourished at the National Theater, where he was involved in numerous productions.
In 1968, Al-Hariri relocated to Libya to establish the National Theater, a significant cultural contribution that lasted until 1974. During this time, he also served as a mentor, teaching acting and directing to aspiring artists. After his return to Egypt, he continued to leave his mark on the entertainment industry, participating in a wide array of productions spanning cinema, theater, and television. Notable works in his extensive repertoire include "Resident Qasadi," "Sugar Hanem," and "See, He Did Not See Anything."
Al-Hariri's illustrious career was sadly cut short when he passed away in 2011 after a battle with bone cancer, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire future generations of actors.
