Sidney Clute
Sidney Richard Clute (April 21, 1916 – October 2, 1985) was a distinguished American actor recognized for his impactful roles in film and television. He garnered significant attention for his portrayal of Detective Paul La Guardia in the acclaimed police drama **Cagney & Lacey**, where he appeared in 57 episodes from 1982 to 1985. Prior to this, Clute showcased his talent as Detective Simms in the long-running series **McCloud**, contributing to the show's dynamic storytelling with ten memorable appearances.
Beyond these notable roles, Clute was a familiar face on many popular television shows of his time, making guest appearances in iconic series such as **Hawaii Five-O**, **Emergency!**, **The Rockford Files**, and **Kolchak: The Night Stalker**.
