Al Wyatt Sr.

Al Wyatt Sr., originally named Allan Riley Wyatt, was born on May 7, 1917, in Mayfield, Kentucky. After serving in the military during World War II, Wyatt moved to California, where his remarkable skills as a horseman paved the way for his entry into the film industry. In 1947, he began his career in Westerns, swiftly establishing himself as both an actor and a stuntman, often doubling for Hollywood's leading men.

Wyatt became known for his portrayal of villains in these Westerns, showcasing his talent not just in front of the camera but behind it as well. Over the span of five decades, he evolved into a stunt coordinator and a second unit director, contributing significantly to the action sequences and overall production of numerous films and television shows.

His dedication to the craft earned him a place in the Hollywood Stuntman's Hall of Fame, a testament to his impact on the industry. In 1983, Al received the prestigious Golden Boot Award, recognizing him as the first stuntman honored for his exceptional contributions to the Western genre. Throughout his illustrious career, Wyatt left an indelible mark on the landscape of film and television, celebrated for both his daring stunts and memorable performances.
