Thiago Martins

Thiago dos Santos Martins, born on September 19, 1988, in Rio de Janeiro, is a talented Brazilian actor, singer, and songwriter. He began his artistic journey with the theater group Nós do Morro, a community initiative aimed at empowering residents of the Vidigal favela. Thiago's television debut occurred in 1999 when he appeared in the festive special "Uma Carta Para Deus," hosted by the beloved presenter Xuxa.

His breakthrough role came in 2002, when he portrayed Lampião in the critically acclaimed film "Cidade de Deus," which showcased the lives of children in Rio’s favelas. That same year, he captivated audiences as João Victor in the popular series "Cidade dos Homens." Thiago transitioned into the world of telenovelas in 2004, landing the role of Sal in "Da Cor do Pecado," a significant step in his career that was made possible by a nomination from actress Giovanna Antonelli, with whom he had previously collaborated on the film "Maria-Mãe do Filho de Deus" in 2003.
