Hollie Stenson
Hollie Stenson hails from Goldsboro, North Carolina, but moved to Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of nine due to her father's job. Growing up in Texas, she earned her undergraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism and spent two years as a reporter for an ABC affiliate. During her time in college and while working as a journalist, Hollie's passion for acting blossomed. She actively participated in community theater on weekends, balancing her reporting duties with her love for performance, until she decided to dedicate herself to acting full time.
Her pivotal moment came with a role in Robert Altman's film "Dr. T & The Women," which solidified her commitment to acting. Shortly after leaving journalism, she found success in Texas theater, eventually landing the memorable role of "Miss Wyoming" in the hit film "Miss Congeniality," starring Sandra Bullock. This breakthrough led her to Los Angeles, where she consistently appeared in various comedic and dramatic roles.
In addition to her acting career, Hollie served as President of The FILManthropy Society, where she directed the organization’s flagship event, the FILManthropy Festival. Driven by a desire to leverage film for social change, she pursued a Master's degree in Social Entrepreneurship at Pepperdine University and later contributed to the Social Impact team at the Academy Award-winning Participant Media.
With a passion for acting and a dedication to social impact, Hollie has worked with numerous nonprofits, including initiatives in Kenya focused on women's empowerment. Residing in Los Angeles, she speaks Spanish and is an avid sailor, aspiring to navigate the globe by sailboat.
