François Létourneau, born on March 30, 1974, in Sainte-Foy, Quebec, is a prominent Canadian actor and writer celebrated for his contributions to television and theatre. He gained widespread recognition as the co-creator and lead actor in acclaimed series such as Les Invincibles, Série noire, and Happily Married (C'est comme ça que je t'aime).

Létourneau began his academic journey in the 1990s at Université Laval, where he studied political science while simultaneously exploring his passion for acting through local theatre. He later honed his craft at the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Montréal, graduating in 1999.

His theatrical work earned him significant accolades, including a nomination for the Governor General's Award for French-language drama in 2003 for his play Cheech, ou Les hommes de Chrysler sont en ville. This acclaim was further solidified when he received a Genie Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay at the 23rd Genie Awards in 2006 for the film version of Cheech.

Létourneau’s talent has been recognized with multiple nominations and awards, including a Prix Gémeaux nomination for Best Writing in a Drama Series for Les Invincibles in 2009. He won two Gémeaux in 2014 for Best Actor in a Drama and Best Writing in a Drama for Série noire. He continued to earn recognition, receiving nominations in both categories again in 2016.
