Brian Gleeson is a talented Irish actor born in Dublin, where he grew up in a creative family. The son of renowned actor Brendan Gleeson and Mary (Weldon), he has two notable siblings in the arts: actor Domhnall Gleeson and writer Rúairí Gleeson. His formative years were spent in Malahide, Dublin, where he first showcased his acting skills in school productions and later joined the Gaiety Youth Theatre Company.

Gleeson's professional acting career began in 2006, marking his debut in "The Tiger's Tail," directed by John Boorman, a film that coincided with his completion of the Leaving Certificate. In 2010, he gained recognition for his role as Hughie in the acclaimed series "Love/Hate," which earned him a nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the Irish Film and Television Awards. His film credits include roles in "The Eagle" and the Oscar-nominated "Snow White and the Huntsman."

In 2014, he took on the lead role in "Standby" alongside Jessica Paré, and filmed the Iraq War drama "Tiger Raid," which premiered in 2016.
