Tornike Gogrichiani

Tornike Gogrichiani is a distinguished Georgian actor and director, whose artistic journey began during his time at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film University. Since launching his career in 2007, Tornike has made a significant mark on both stage and screen. Early in his career, he garnered acclaim for his portrayal in *Macbeth*, which earned him multiple awards for Best Male Actor at various international theatre festivals.

In 2012, he solidified his presence in cinema by playing a leading role in Zaza Rusadze's poignant film *A Fold in My Blanket*. The film received notable recognition, being featured in the official "Panorama" section of the prestigious 63rd Berlin International Film Festival.

Tornike made his directorial debut in 2016 with the short film *Andro*, which premiered at the 39th Montpellier Film Festival and went on to be showcased at numerous international festivals, ultimately winning the Grand Prize at the Tehran Short Film Festival. His subsequent project, *Heatwave*, represents a collaborative effort between Georgian and Croatian filmmakers, further demonstrating his commitment to cross-cultural storytelling.
