Donny Alamsyah

Donny Alamsyah Benjamin, born on December 7, 1978, is a prominent Indonesian actor and martial artist whose career has made a significant impact in the film industry. His journey into acting commenced in 2004 when he accompanied a friend to an audition for the film *Gie* (2005). Impressed by his potential, the production team invited him to audition, leading to his casting in the role of Jaka.

Alamsyah's performance in the 2008 film *Fiksi* as the character Barry garnered him widespread acclaim and a nomination for Best Actor at the prestigious Indonesian Film Festival, solidifying his status in the cinematic landscape.

From a young age, Donny displayed a passion for martial arts, encouraged by his father, Benjamin Junaedi, who was a coach in Cimande pencak silat. He began his training at just four years old, initially studying karate during his elementary years. His martial arts journey continued through junior high with kung fu, and he further expanded his skills in high school by practicing Muay Thai, Wing Chun, wrestling, boxing, and aikido.
