Donald Smith embarked on his acting journey at the age of 25, initially treating it as a leisure activity. He quickly made a mark in the local theater scene, showcasing his talent at venues such as the Dayton Theatre Guild, Brookville Community Theatre, and Troy Civic Theatre. A few years later, he ventured into film, although many of the projects he was slated to join unfortunately did not materialize.
After a hiatus to focus on completing his English degree at Wright State University, Donald is gradually re-entering the acting realm. He is currently involved in various film and writing endeavors, demonstrating his versatility as a creative. In addition to his film work, Donald has embraced stand-up comedy, performing at popular venues throughout the Dayton area, including The Dayton Funnybone and Wiley's Comedy Joint.
Beyond his performances, Donald also engages with the community through his role as a radio host. He leads a weekly show called The Life on WWSU 106.9 FM, broadcasting from Fairborn, Ohio. With his passion for the arts and commitment to storytelling, Donald Smith continues to make significant contributions to the cultural landscape of his region, blending his love for acting, comedy, and radio into a vibrant career.
