Matt Lasky

Matt Lasky, originally from Waco, Texas, spent his formative years in the Oklahoma City area. His tumultuous adolescence took a drastic turn when he found himself incarcerated for a year on his twentieth birthday, a consequence of being involved in a series of violent altercations. A pivotal moment in his life occurred shortly after his release, when he witnessed a tragic road rage incident that resulted in the death of a coworker during a long day of washing windows on high-rise buildings.

Seeking a fresh start, Matt relocated to Hollywood, where he honed his craft by graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2006. He later became an active member of their theater company, immersing himself in the performing arts while balancing work as a bouncer and an autism behavioral therapist to support himself.

In 2014, Matt embarked on an extraordinary adventure, rowing from Monterey, California, to Oahu, Hawaii. This grueling journey took him and his three crewmates 57 days, 5 hours, and 45 minutes to complete, earning them a shared world record for being the first mixed-gender team of four to row unsupported across the vast Pacific Ocean. Through resilience and determination, Matt has transformed his life and continues to inspire others with his remarkable achievements.
