Huggy Leaver
Huggy Leaver, born Hugh Leaver, is a notable British actor and former frontman of The Plastix, an influential punk band that emerged in the UK’s vibrant music scene. From 1979 to 1982, he took on the role of lead vocalist for the Hastings Mod Revival Band, Teenbeats, further cementing his place in the cultural landscape of the time.
Leaver's acting career spans several acclaimed television series and films. He has made memorable appearances in popular shows like *Trial & Retribution*, *Birds of a Feather*, *A Touch of Frost*, and *Black Books*. He also portrayed the character Paul in the cult classic *Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels*, and played Mario in the 2000 comedy *Going Off Big Time*. Additionally, he appeared as a cab driver in *The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen* and as a pawn shop owner in *Fast & Furious 6*.
In more recent years, he took on the recurring role of Clint in the long-running soap opera *EastEnders*, as well as the character Delivery Man 2 in *Never Let Me Go*. Outside of acting, Leaver is passionate about motorcycles and has created several customized bikes in the streetfighter style, inspired by designer Andy Sparrow, which featured in his 1980s strip *Bloodrunners*. One of his custom bikes even made an appearance in the 1995 film *Mad Dogs and Englishmen*, ridden by C. Thomas Howell's character.
