Harriet Kemsley embarked on her stand-up comedy journey in 2011 and quickly made a mark by clinching the Funny's Funny competition within just a few months. The following year proved to be monumental for her career as she secured the titles of Bath Comedy Festival New Act of the Year and Brighton Comedy Festival New Act of the Year. Additionally, renowned comedian Rhod Gilbert recognized her as one of the Ten Must See Comics of 2012. Kemsley's solo autobiographical show, "Slutty Joan," garnered favorable reviews from prominent outlets, including The Guardian.
In addition to her stand-up performances, Kemsley co-hosts the podcast "Why Is Harriet Crying?" alongside comedian Sunil Patel, showcasing her engaging personality and humor.
Her television credits are impressive and include appearances on shows like "Sam Delaney's News Thing," "Roast Battle," "8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown," and "8 Out of 10 Cats." Kemsley also starred in the Viceland reality series "Bobby & Harriet Get Married" in 2017, which documented her wedding to comedian Bobby Mair, officiated by Romesh Ranganathan.
