Omar Wasow

Omar Wasow currently holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Politics at Princeton University, where he specializes in the intersection of race and political dynamics. His collaborative research on the complexities of assessing racial effects has been recognized in the Annual Review of Political Science. Additionally, his investigations into the impact of both nonviolent and violent protest movements have garnered attention from major media outlets, including The Washington Post, Vox, and The Week.

Prior to his academic career, Wasow was a prominent technology analyst and co-founder of BlackPlanet, a pioneering social networking site that attracted over three million active users during its peak.
