Anthony Dwane Mackie, born on September 23, 1978, is a prominent American actor celebrated for his dynamic roles in both film and television. He rose to fame portraying Sam Wilson, also known as Falcon and later Captain America, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starting with the iconic film Captain America: The Winter Soldier in 2014. His role expanded further as he headlined the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier in 2021 and is set to reprise his character in the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World, scheduled for release in 2025.

Mackie's cinematic journey began with his debut in the critically acclaimed film 8 Mile (2002). He garnered significant praise for his performances in Brother to Brother (2004), earning an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Actor. His powerful role in The Hurt Locker (2008) also earned him recognition, leading to a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the African American Film Critics Association Awards. He portrayed iconic figures including Tupac Shakur in Notorious (2009) and Martin Luther King Jr. in HBO’s All the Way (2016).
