Charles Darwin Cooper was a versatile American actor whose career spanned over five decades, from 1950 until 2001. He showcased his talents on Broadway with performances in productions such as "The Winner" (1954) and "All You Need Is One Good Break" (1950).

Cooper made a mark on television, notably in the western genre. In 1958, he portrayed the outlaw Tate Masters in the "Twelve Guns" episode of NBC's "Cimarron City," a series featuring George Montgomery and John Smith. The following year, he took on the role of gunfighter Jack Rollins in "The Visitor," an episode of the ABC/Warner Brothers series "Lawman."

In 1961, he starred as Matt Yordy in "Honest Abe," an episode of Chuck Connors' "The Rifleman." His notable contributions to "Perry Mason" include four guest roles, with a standout performance as the murderer Philip Strague in the 1958 episode "The Case of the Buried Clock." His final appearance on the show was in 1962's "The Case of the Poison Pen-Pal," where he played Ben Willoughby.

Cooper is perhaps best remembered for his iconic roles in the "Star Trek" franchise, where he portrayed Klingon Chancellor K'mpec in "The Next Generation" episodes "Sins of the Father" and "Reunion," as well as Klingon General Korrd in "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier." His film credits include the Alfred Hitchcock classic "The Wrong Man" (1956), "A Dog's Best Friend" (1959), the comedy "Valet Girls" (1987), and the action film "Blind Fury" (1989) alongside Rutger Hauer.
