Colin Higgins

Colin Higgins was a British actor best known for his roles in various television productions throughout the UK. His most notable, albeit brief, appearance came in 1977 when he was cast as Wedge Antilles in the iconic film Star Wars. Unfortunately, Higgins’ time in the role was short-lived; he was let go after just one day of filming due to difficulties in memorizing his lines. Following his departure, the character was portrayed by Dennis Lawson, who became widely celebrated for his interpretation, while Higgins remained largely uncredited, listed simply as 'Rebel Pilot.'

For a long time, he was affectionately referred to by fans as 'Fake Wedge.' However, in a turn of events that expanded the Star Wars universe, his character was later reimagined and given a distinct identity and backstory, emerging as Colonel Takbright.
