Billie Bird Sellen, a talented vaudeville comedienne, was discovered at the tender age of eight in an orphanage, which led to her touring with a vaudeville troupe across various theater circuits. Throughout the tumultuous era of the Vietnam War, she dedicated her efforts to supporting the troops by participating in twelve USO tours, entertaining service members in combat zones during the 1960s and 1970s.

Bird's career spanned several decades, with her last film appearance in *Jury Duty* (1995), featuring Pauly Shore. She also made memorable contributions to popular films, including *Home Alone* (1990) and *Dennis the Menace* (1993). Among her most recognized roles was her performance in the classic film *The Odd Couple* (1968).

In television, Billie Bird enjoyed a significant presence, appearing as a regular on the sitcom *Dear John* from 1988 to 1992.
