Jared Lee Masters is a multifaceted American filmmaker, actor, and author known for his distinctive contributions to the film industry. He first gained recognition in 2012 with "The Pleasure Girl Gang," a groundbreaking film notable for its all-female cast. Since then, Masters has directed and penned over a dozen feature films, including the horror-thriller "Slink" (2013) and the unique "Ballet of Blood" (2015), both of which showcase his creative vision.

Born in Georgia, Masters’ childhood was marked by frequent relocations due to his father's military career, exposing him to diverse cultures and experiences across the United States and Germany. His passion for filmmaking ignited at the age of 14 when he began creating skateboarding videos, which he sold to classmates. By 15, he had self-taught classical piano, later composing music for several of his films.

In 2007, Masters joined the Screen Actors Guild and moved to New York City, where he honed his acting skills and directed his first short films, including "The Umbrella." After relocating to Venice Beach, California, he released his debut feature "Climb It, Tarzan!" in 2011, followed by "8 Reels of Sewage" in 2012.

Masters has received accolades for his work, winning the 2013 EOTM Award for Best Horror Film for "Slink" and earning multiple nominations for other projects. His films often explore themes of retro aesthetics, female empowerment, and societal undercurrents, frequently drawing inspiration from 80's slasher films and the B-movie culture of the 1960s.
