Archie Uchena Madekwe, born on February 10, 1995, in South London, is a prominent English actor recognized for his diverse roles across film and television. Notably named a Screen International Star of Tomorrow in 2017, Madekwe has gained acclaim for his performances in various projects, including the Apple TV+ series *See* (2019–2022), the horror film *Midsommar* (2019) produced by A24, and recent works like *Gran Turismo* (2023) directed by Neill Blomkamp and *Saltburn* (2023) by Emerald Fennell.

Madekwe's artistic journey began at the age of 14, when he enrolled in Theatre at the BRIT School, later joining the National Youth Theatre. He further honed his craft at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), although he left early to star in Ian Rickson’s production of *The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?*, where he shared the stage with noted actors Damian Lewis and Sophie Okonedo.

His television career kicked off in 2014 with a guest role in the BBC medical drama *Casualty*, followed by a part as Luca in the Channel 4 comedy-drama *Fresh Meat* in 2016. Madekwe made his official West End debut in *The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?* in 2017 and subsequently secured his first significant film role as Luke in *Teen Spirit*, a breakthrough that came after the casting director spotted his talent in the play.
