Tony Scott

Anthony David Leighton Scott (June 21, 1944 – August 19, 2012) was a prominent English-American filmmaker celebrated for his dynamic direction in the action and thriller genres. Scott rose to fame with a series of blockbuster hits, including the iconic *Top Gun* (1986), which became a cultural phenomenon. Tony Scott was the younger sibling of esteemed director Sir Ridley Scott, and both siblings honed their craft at the Royal College of Art in London.
