Cokey Falkow
Cokey Falkow is a multifaceted talent hailing from South Africa, recognized as an actor, writer, voice artist, and comedian. He grew up in a linguistically rich environment, with a father fluent in 12 languages who worked as a shoe salesman, and a mother who made her mark as an award-winning PR professional in Florida. Cokey is also the sibling of actor and writer Mike Falkow.
His artistic journey began in South Africa’s vibrant theatre scene, where he landed a minor role in Hamlet at the Natal Playhouse. In a remarkable feat that same year, he collaborated with actor Colin Moss to create a play that clinched the title of "Best New Play" at the Adams Playwright Festival in Durban. Cokey is one of a select group of 30 individuals in South Africa who trained under esteemed improvisation theatre pioneer Augusto Boal.
In 2008, his performance as "Alfonso," an albino serial killer, in the offbeat comedy "Big Fellas," earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the South African Film and Television Awards. Renowned for his versatility with accents, Cokey has voiced multiple characters in the popular South African children's series "Urbo," and has lent his vocal talents to major video game franchises, along with various productions for BBC Radio 4. His contributions to the arts continue to resonate across multiple platforms and genres.
