Patrick Roach, born on March 4, 1969, is a notable Canadian actor celebrated for his role as Randy, the quirky and often shirtless assistant to the trailer park supervisor on the cult classic series *Trailer Park Boys*. Hailing from Branch, Newfoundland, Roach spent his formative years in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

In *Trailer Park Boys*, Randy serves as the deputy to Mr. Lahey, creating a dynamic relationship that blends humor with chaos, reminiscent of the rapport between Mr. Burns and Smithers from *The Simpsons*. Roach has indicated that Randy identifies as gay, although the series presents him as bisexual, showcasing a unique blend of character complexity and comedic nuance.

Roach balanced his early acting career with a full-time position as a regional sales manager at Sparkling Springs, a bottled water company, until he decided to pursue acting full-time in July 2004. This leap of faith, while daunting, allowed him to fully immerse himself in his craft. Beyond *Trailer Park Boys*, he toured with co-star John Dunsworth, performing stand-up and improv at various venues across Canada. His appearances also extended to commercial work, including a spot for Vonage.

Roach initially appeared in the original *Trailer Park Boys* short film, where his character served as the inspiration for Randy. He is married to Candyce and is the proud father of two children, Rebecca and Cody. In 2010, he reunited with his *Trailer Park Boys* colleagues for *The Drunk and On Drugs Happy Fun Time Hour*, further solidifying his presence in the Canadian entertainment industry.
